How can I change the default email address set on my Mac computer?

In setting up our new mac desktop, my father mistyped our email address. Now, every time I open different programs, they fill in the wrong email address automatically. This has nothing to do with the Mail program, as this occurred before we even opened that program. Thanks for your help !

Have you run the Mail Assistant yet? As this might overwrite that setting. Or does it occur when you are in Safari? If so, you can do a Reset Safari from the Safari Menu. You can also look for extra accounts setup in the Mail program and remove them.
