Yes you can change/spoof your MAC address. It will only be temporary and will reset upon rebooting.

Here is the address of a site with instructions.

It would probably be better to email your gaming site, and explain what happened; you could ask them for a phone number so you could call and explain. but that is up to.How to change ip address and MAC address effectively?
Hah! MAC addresses are unique, so I fail to see how this wasn't you. Your ISP is the only one who can change your IP and I doubt that they'll do it.
Yeah- the only thing I can tell you is to use some sort of proxy to change your IP and possibly hide your MAC address.

You can't change your MAC address- it's hardcoded into your modem, so sorry- can't be done unless you find a good proxy site.

Or get a new modem- that would work too
I assume then that your ';friend'; was using your computer when the rules infraction occurred. MAC addresses are attached to your NIC card and cannot be changed without changing out the NIC card. The MAC address generally remains fixed and follows the network device, but the IP address changes as the network device moves from one network to another.

To find your MAC address, click Start, then Run, then type cmd in the text box. Type in ipconfig/all in the Command Prompt Windows. The 12-digit Physical Address is the same as MAC address
