How to change my IP Address with a router?

Here's the deal. I have Comcast and a Linksys router. The ONLY way I've been able to change my IP ADDRESS in the past has been using my Linksys configuration panel and click on ';Clone MAC Address'; ... but now it got to a point where it does not provide a new MAC Address, thus it does not change my IP ADDRESS.

Note: I have tried changing it in multiple ways, such as [disconnecting router %26amp; modem for 8 hours] ... [randomly disconnecting modem for 10 minutes] ... and [manually inserting a new MAC ADDRESS... and all it did was turn off my internet] .. [DHCP release/renew] .. and none seem to work.

What can I do now?How to change my IP Address with a router?
Most ISPs (Internet Service Providers) use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) which means that your IP address will be assigned automatically so, your ISP will probably not be able to change this at all. The reason why disconnecting the router for eight hours didn't work was because the router stores MAC (Media Access Control) address stores the IP address. I think you know this already so the solution is to either:

1. Get a router that supports MAC address cloning.

2. Plug your PC directly into your modem and you will receive a new IP address, you will then have to wait possibly a day to a week, (no real exact time frame because DHCP assigns IP addresses automatically) then hope that the IP address that the router stored was assigned to someone else. Your router will then communicate will your ISP to discover a new IP address.

I'm not really sure why you want to do this because it is pretty pointless. If you are blacklisted go to www.mxtoolbox.com and check who is blacklisting you, you can then request to be unblacklisted. If you have another reason please edit you question and let me know. How to change my IP Address with a router?
Your IP address is assigned by your ISP.
Your ISP assigns you an IP address every time your router is turned off and then back on.

This is normally random, but, depends on how your ISP assigns IP addresses.

To find out how to force the system to give you a new IP address you will need to call your ISPs tech support and ask them how best to do that on their system. They should be able to tell you IF and HOW it would be done with their equipment and their configurations.
The router itself has no control over your IP address. It's your modem for cable/dsl. It is assigned by your Internet Service Provider. If you call them and request a change they will change your IP. If you use a dial-up service such as AOL or a broadband card through a cell phone company like Sprint or Verizon it will automatically change every time you dial in to reconnect to the internet. There are also websites you can use to ';mask'; your IP address. Just do a google search for free IP masking.
