my little brother was playing and some how got blocked off the online game aand now every time i try to log in it says unable to use this game id he has been mac blocked any1 know

Your MAC address is only used on your local network. It allows the machine to identify itself in order to get an IP address. This has NO effect on any ability to plan on the PSN. The PSN does not even ';see'; that mac address. Unless your PS3 is DIRECTLY connected to the internet, what PSN (and anyone else) sees is the ip (and some more information) from your router on the internet.



When you are banned from someplace like PSN or XboxLIVE, they generally ban the serial number of the CONSOLE. This is nothing you can change.



However, IF it says the ID is blocked, you might be able to try creating another PSN account. See if that works.
Sorry dude. Call up PSN I guess and explain to them the situation. The only way to change the MAC address is to replace the Network Access Card in your PS3, which will void your warranty and possibly screw up your console.



A MAC address (or Media Access Control address) is embedded into ANY and ALL network access cards, whether it be ethernet or wireless. For example, on my Macbook Pro, I have a MAC address for my AirPort wireless connection and my Ethernet connection. Routers have MAC addresses as well.

-Call up PSN

-Get a new PS3

-Change the network card in your PS3 (NOT RECOMMENDED)

Can't. Impossible. You can remake your PSN for online play of your game but then you have to start from scratch. sorry. Hit your brother for me.
It is impossible to change your MAC address, but it is very unlikely that the game was able to block a console by MAC address



It is possible that they simply blocked your IP address. To reset your IP address turn off and unplug your router, then plug it back in again and turn it back on.
you cant change the mac address in your device because that's the address that the manufacturer put on the system.

but if you can't go online you can go to your router if you have one and go online and change the settings to it in the mac address portion of it, and you can just add your systems mac address and it should be able to work fine because that way your router will recognize the mac address and allow you to play in your system. but other than that there is no way of you changing your mac address .
