Is it this possible to all ip have same mac address (not) but in my network';s case its tru how its possible?

yes its tru whenever i scan by angry ip scanner all pc shows same mac addresses even mine too but when i look mine in pc its differnt . THE more puzzLABLE THING is that mac address is even changes after some days its hell irretating to me understand this and it happend with whole subnet range r they behind nat-pat

i tried various tool like cain and able but they didnt work becoz this network have mighty securety at arp level may they have binded the ip to mac ..but how can all be same??????????world best sniffer even failed on this networkIs it this possible to all ip have same mac address (not) but in my network';s case its tru how its possible?
Well, if you are ';scanning'; from the internet into a network the only thing that can normally reply to you is the router and thus only one MAC address will be shown.



So more than likely that is what you are seeing. Scanners wont show private ip's within a local network and many admins setup traps for scanners from outside world into the system as these are commonly used for cracking attempts.

The chance for two mac addresses to be the same is almost impossible, one incident only recorded several years ago and the 2 devices were manufactured by 3com. Anyway, if you think that you have duplicated mac addresses, then the only way to do this is the use of a software mac address changer, which is usually used by hackers and it shouldn't be your case. One more thing, you didn't mention the message that appears on your screen which shows the duplication. I hope this help..
